My Top Ten Tips for a Heathier Turkey Day

Your body will be thanking you!It is turkey day tomorrow! Here is how I keep my day healthy.

  1. Start the day with warm water and lemon (Great for  detoxing)
  2. Good cardio work out in the morning – a 1 hour spin class will burn about 500 calories (for a 150 pound person) which is about a cup of homemade bread pudding.
  3. Drink lots of water ALL day long
  4. Focus on an attitude of gratitude ALL day! That is exercise in itself!
  5. Make-your-own-salad and vegetable platter  and take it wherever you are visiting
  6. Eat SLOWLY. You will feel fuller faster.
  7. Fill up on a Vegetable platter BEFORE the big meal.
  8. No second helpings!
  9. Fruit for sweets
  10. Walk AFTER Thanksgiving dinner
