Making Soda Safer is one of the major goals of the Center for Science in the Public Interest. It is calling on the Food and Drug Administration to determine a safe level for high-fructose corn syrup and other sugars in soda and other sugar drinks. And to require the industry to achieve that level over several years.
Sugar drinks are the single biggest source of calories in the American diet. Liquid calories are more conducive to weight gain than the calories in solid food.
Of course I would love everyone to give up soda but I also know how addictive it can be so we need a plan to make it safer while we wean people off it.
One way I help my clients wean off soda is with the ZEVIA brand shown here that has Stevia as sweetener.
