That means “eating disorder not otherwise specified.” It’s a catchall term for any kind of pathological relationship with food that is neither anorexia nor bulimia. This is currently a hot topic among the psychiatrists and physicians who are revising the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, for its next edition, due in 2013.
